“NEW BEGINNINGS” APAC Group Art Show

“NEW BEGINNINGS” is a group art show centered on change, opportunity, and rebirth featuring 20 contributors from BUCK’s Asian Employee Resource Group (ERG). The show represents artists from across the globe and was on view at Asian American women-owned cafe and creative venue, Land to Sea, in New York from July-September 2024.

Lunar New Year provides the chance for renewal and the Year of the Dragon is the luckiest zodiac year for a fresh start. With trying times behind and ahead, this opportunity for luck and rebirth inspired BUCK’s Asian ERG to create a group art show and “NEW BEGINNINGS” was born.

“NEW BEGINNINGS” is inspired by the artists’ own experiences of moving to new homes, starting new jobs, forming new lives, and belonging to immigrant families and communities with a history of similar transformations. Through this lens of personal change and auspicious first steps, the artists explore the diversity of visual media, individual experience, and Asian identities so often reduced to homogeneity.
