No Kid Hungry
With schools closed and lunch programs shutdown, 1 in 4 kids in the United States face hunger this year due to the coronavirus. A child can’t expect to learn, focus, and thrive when their most basic needs aren’t being met. This is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts and we wanted to help make a difference.
In this pair of animated ads, we wanted to raise awareness of local services already in place that help kids find food during this difficult time.
The Free Meals Finder map is a digital tool that helps connect families to free food being offered in their community.
Despite the seriousness of the situation we wanted the tone to feel uplifting and hopeful in order to inspire people to get involved.
Kendra Ryan, one of the Creative Directors on the BUCK team: “Our hope is that a sincere, informative, and moving piece of animation will grab people’s attention, inspire hope, and point them where they need to go.”
The “Dine, Shop, and Share” campaign promotes a second initiative from No Kid Hungry.
Here we are encouraging people to dine at restaurants and shop at stores that give a percentage of their proceeds to No Kid Hungry. The donations are used to buy meals for children who are missing out on those much-needed school lunches.
